Bedtime Story

As you already know by now, I’m totally loving sweet little children images, so genuine and honestly kind. Today’s frame showcases the sweet digital stamp Bedtime Story by Milk N Coffee Digital Stamps, they are just so adorable and my artwork is part of today’s Challenge Anything but a Card by Milk N Coffee — please check out the gorgeous creations!

How did I create it? I printed the digital image onto the metallic paper and colored it with C7 Copic marker to give a good shadow effect to the image that goes on top.  Then, as my usual routine, I outlined the digital image in Silhouette Studio software and had my Silhouette cutter complete the intricate cuts — please check out my very first tutorial on how to use digital images.

Once the cut out is complete, I start to color the main image, which is always the most fun! I color the images with Copic Markers (list of markers below plus more photos) spending a lot of attention to details and quality. If you like this hair coloring technique, please take a look at my tutorial: Coloring Hair with Copic Markers 1.1

Once coloring is complete, I highlight some parts with Fiskars glitter gel pens or glitter glue to add a little extra glow, which looks beautiful in natural light. I used a white gel pen for the writing and Recollections rhinestone stars for the background. Also my sweet stepdaughter surprised me K&Company’s glittery pillow stickers, which I used on the sister’s hairclip (heart) and the brother’s hat (pom-pom). Then the main image is placed on foam squares to add to the 3D effect even more. Once all together, the artwork goes inside a beautiful white frame and voila!

Please remember that I am always happy to personalize the artwork with a name, a quote or a special message, endless options really. Also, colors are always customizable options, after all Copic Markers come in 358 different colors!

Please visit my Etsy Store and  Facebook Page for more ideas and colored images.

I am also posting more detailed photos below, please check them out too.

hugs, Rita
